The show is an educative dose, highlighting
the historical background of Jaipur, its
sovereigns, monuments and ancient anecdotes
associated. It took grueling efforts to
prepare this magnificent 50 minutes show
that takes you through a royal journey.
The eternal spirit of this royal palace
comes alive with thundering music and
numerous colorful flashing lights, a
panoramic view with dramatic script (by
Bollywood lyricist and filmmaker Gulzar) and
folklore in baritone voice (Amitabh Bachchan).
The show runs every day by 6:30 pm in Hindi
language and by 7:30 in English.

Son et
lumière (French pronunciation) initiated as
a form of nighttime entertainment in France,
where Paul Robert-Houdin, the curator of the
Château de Chambord hosted the first sound
and light show in 1952. Gradually, the show
popularized all over the globe, and the
first Asian production was held at Delhi, in
1965, at the Red Fort.
